sale away

How is everyone? Any good sale buys? I myself did not partake in Black Friday madness, and I missed out on everything I had my eye on online. I just wasn't quick enough with "proceed to checkout!" I'm not even that disappointed, I feel like I'm in a good place with my wardrobe right now.

Rick Owens Lilies asymmetric top (Century21/NYC)
Calvin Klein Collection over-the-knee boots (theoutnet.com)
Comme des Garçons wool vest (Second Time Around consignment)
Hermès cuff

Vanessa Bruno Athé double-breasted jacket (theoutnet.com)
Balenciaga leather leggings (yoox.com)
Rick Owens boots (brownsfashion.com)
Elizabeth & James knuckle ring (Intermix/NYC)

You rock over the knee boots and interestingly cut basics like no one else! Been a fan since the Style diary days and still loving it.

I did get a weird (which I like) Black Fleece long oxford shirt dress for 70% off, but that was well before black friday. Can't believe I saw people with tents outside of Best Buy before 1pm on Thursday, Madness! I'm still waiting for the sales--may have to wait until January to get the few more things I definitely want.

But you have such an awesome wardrobe. You're one of my favorites. :)

Your closet is always in good condition! I try and follow your example of waiting for quality pieces to go on sale, but I can't resist the siren call of H&M and Forever21. Sigh.

I love the second look! The leather leggings and boyfriend jacket is an elegant, cool yet funky mix.
No sales for me either. I mostly purchased second hand items lately and online. I hate the crazyness in stores before the holidays.

Random question. You posted either on your blog or tumblr a snack bar that you though was goof. I think it was s'mores. Do you remember the brand?

Hey Anon -

Hm, I haven't been to any snack bars. There's a tiny restaurant called Snack that I like to go to, on Thompson St. in Soho, but they serve mediterranean food so I don't think that's what you're looking for. That's the closest I can think of though.

If you're looking for pastry shops I like Lady M cake boutique, Levain bakery for cookies, Two Little Red Hens for cupcakes...

That probably didn't help at all, sorry!

It wasn't a dessert. It was an energy bar. Maybe I saw it somewhere else but I though it was on one of your sites.

Oh sorry I completely misunderstood! Those are Balance Energy Bars, the flavors I like are S'Mores and Caramel Nut Blast. Sorry about that, my brain is fried :-( I buy them at Trader Joe's.

I didn't do any black friday shopping, but i did pick up a chanel piece over the weekend that has been on my list of 'must haves' for some time.
